This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to make a difference for children and families affected by Okur-Chung Neurodevelopmental Syndrome (OCNDS). At the CSNK2A1 Foundation, we are dedicated to supporting those living with this rare genetic condition, advancing groundbreaking research, and fostering a community of care and hope.
Why Your Gift Matters
OCNDS can impact every aspect of a child’s life, from speech and movement to learning and behavior. For families, the journey is often marked by uncertainty and isolation. Your support has driven remarkable achievements this year:
- Advancing Research: Six new publications were released, including the first mouse model of OCNDS funded by the foundation.
- Launching Studies: Four new research projects are underway, fast-tracking discoveries into clinical use.
- Collaborating with the FDA: We hosted a Patient Listening Session to raise awareness and advocate for OCNDS families' needs.
- Global Fundraising: We participated in the Orphan Disease Center’s Million Dollar Bike Ride raised over $60,000 for research, attracting eight grant applications from five countries.
- Empowering the Next Generation: Nine interns joined us, gaining experience in rare disease non-profit work.
- Connecting Families: We hosted our 48th family Zoom call in November. These calls provide a safe space for connection, accessible in multiple languages through live-caption translation from WordlyAI.
